the scan and the day went smoothly- hoping the results will be in by Friday but not for sure.
I go to the city hospital but they still have to be read and sent to another cancer clinic for further reading--so I am being a patient waiting patient but the good news is that I have my first appointment on October 13 at the cancer clinic so I will begin my journey then-I had a good day and was able to get the kitchen back to my standards which is two clean sinks so just being able to do that makes me feel better-I just puttered and rested etc-forgive me for times between updates but I have to try to rest and take things easy and even phone calls and emailing is tiring on some days- I am learning what balance is...........I love you guys and know that you are holding us up in prayer- that is the greatest blessing of all.

So pleased everything went ok with the scan. It is lovely to hear from you and know that you are ok still- trusting in the Lord and peaceful. Keep resting and I will be praying for you to continue in that peace and contentment that only He can provide in such a difficult time.

Meme, just keep on keepin' on! I'm writing this from the hospital where my Mom is recovering from the effects of some very aggressive chemo for the rare Burkitt's Non-Hodgkins lymphoma - she's 87 and the regiment is extra hard on her already frail frame. BUT, she keeps on fighting back!! We share such a strong faith, and knowledge that we are not alone in this fight - not only are there countless other cancer survivors and their families with us in this "club" but our assurance that God is walking with us every single step of the way is sometimes what gets us through from one day to the next. Dearest Meme, I am so thankful the CT scan went well and also that you have your first appointment at the cancer clinic. Please don't worry about us, we will be here when you can be. Rest, take care of yourself and fight this cancer! Please know that my prayers are ever with you, even when I'm not around for a while.
